Kevin Drake

Kevin S. Drake co-managing owner of FPI Builders, LLC a commercial construction firm located in Fort Worth, Texas. Graduated 1985 from Texas Tech University with a Construction Engineering Technology degree. Having developed a reputation for building buildings on time and on budget, he now focuses his attention on developing his staff as LEAN practitioners who recognize waste and continuous improvement with everything they do. Kevin is married to Dana Drake, co-managing owner of FPI Builders, LLC. Kevin has three grown boys, enjoys fishing, BBQ cooking and wood working. Kevin’s biggest achievement, being selected as an elder at his church by his peers.

Dana Drake

Dana Drake, co-managing owner of FPI Builders, LLC in Fort Worth, TX. Professional career began in the medical industry in California, subsequently moving to Fort Worth to assist with the growth of several medical clinics in the area. With the purchase of FPI Builders, LLC in 2014, Dana and husband Kevin continue to build on the foundation created over three decades ago. With never-ending love for her “FPI Family”, Dana takes pride in knowing the company will be blessed for years to come with its dedicated staff of professionals. Dana is an active member in her church, having served in several capacities over the years. She is also involved with numerous charities in Fort Worth.

Sterling Barnett

Senior Project Manager

Sterling joined FPI Builders, LLC in August of 2017 as an Intern. During this time while he was finishing up his Master’s in Construction Management from the University of Texas at Arlington. After graduating in August of 2018 FPI Builders hired him full time as a project manager. Under the guidance and mentorship of Kevin Drake he has moved up to Sr. Project Manager for FPI Builders in just 5 short years. Sterling has recently also taken on the role of Director of Lean Improvement for FPI. He is now Leading continuous improvement implementation and training efforts for the company. While not working, Sterling enjoys spending time with his wife Regina, and enjoy traveling, and getting away for the weekend! He also enjoys putting together Architectural Lego sets, and playing a round of Disc Golf if the weather is nice.

FPI Builders was an outstanding choice for North Fort Worth Baptist Church. It is a joy and privilege to write about the experience we had with FPI Builders. We interviewed five general contractors for a church renovation and building project that had been needed for ten+ years. After meeting Kevin Drake and his staff, we knew that they could deliver. And we made the right choice. From the onsite supervisor to the project manager to the front office support staff, we had an most outstanding experience. Would we choose them again? Absolutely!
